A natural infection needs to get through your mucus membrane barriers, which in turn triggers your immune response very early on. Only the more extreme infections will even show up in your bloodstream for your inner adaptive immune system to 'remember' them. The current vaccines already DO skip those barriers. I only mentioned the mucosal barriers to point out how unnatural the vaccines are, and how they could never, EVER have prevented infection/transmission. They were "leaky" by design.
If they come up with new nasal-spray vaccines that trigger the mucosal (secretory) antibodies THAT could prevent infection and transmission, until the virus mutates, which would be a few weeks or months at best. I don't know if that part of the adaptive immune system suffers the same fixation issue.
