It's a requirement to have been vaccinated with the primary series first. In other words, the vaccine hesitant, even if they found the new formulation acceptable (fat chance), would be required to get two of the original formulation before being eligible. Rather than trying to market them toward the vaccine hesitant, it's almost like they're trying to deter them. It's all moot since anyone who has gone this long without getting vaccinated is unlikely to have a change of opinion, but it is some odd decision making when they're trying to get as many shots in arms as possible.
It's an odd strategy. As someone else mentioned, those of us that have refused this far aren't going to change our minds. Also, Omicron is way less dangerous than the original.
I only see the most dedicated vaxx enthusiasts getting it.
I think it would read more clearly if all contractions of terms were written out in full. I know they’re stated when first used but I remember only half of them as I’m reading. The ones I remembered (or already know) I started reading as if written out in full because it flows through my brain faster that way (ironically). With the shear number of abbreviations the reading experience was stilted to say the least. I’ll need to read it again and learn the contractions by wrote before starting. Regardless of this minor challenge we have, it’s all fantastic info.
I’m just so glad I held back in March 2021 when my doc surgery was bombarding me with texts to come in for the vax and friends were thinking I was a conspiracy nutter. All I had to go on was CDC’s Pfizer trial on clinicaltrials.gov and the crazy claims of safety flying in the face of that info. I was completely alone in my conviction till I discovered Dr Yeadon 6 weeks later who confirmed my fears- and soon after that, Dr Bossche. So thanks very much to both!

The next dominant variants are really going to be on some next level juice. According to recent preprints, BA2.75 (dominant in Asia) is again more infectious than previous strains and again more virulent than BA.5 and the early low-virulence omicron strains. How are the "covid is the flu now" people going to explain this trend in virulence??
The only missing thing now is the complete resistance to the vaccinal antibodies which still inhibit the virulence. But I am a believer now, Dr. Vanden Bossche's track record is just too good.
In my opinion they want to prepare a ”Marek effect” this fall in order to keep people's mind occupied with more death and sorrow instead of prices, cold, hunger etc.
I saw today, the WH is going to have a hunger/food crisis mtg.... bc of “so many people are having difficulty purchasing food”.....

It seems like a fairly low percentage of ppl may get these boosters -- 25% of people in the West? Some European countries don't even seem to be interested. So it is possible tht low uptake could spare everyone from a worst case scenario?
