I also thought there was a medical supply room in the basement of the hospital with boxes of N-95's but was told at the beg of the "pandemic", no N-95's for nurses, "we're out"...

I think you should write a handwritten diary (private) of things you notice and your day to day. People will look back on this in history and learn from your diary like we do today for periods (e.g. civil war). You have a unique perspective.

Most people I know are just doing the OTC tests and I think it just shows positive or negative and I learned that at least one of my friends was symptomatic for four days and got a negative result for those four days until the fifth day it finally registered as strong positive. Of course on those four days she was out and about and spreading it around. (this was last week)
I do not believe it's possible to tell it's KP.2 with any certainty unless someone submits their sample for sequencing. However, KP.2 and KP1.1 are the fasted growing variants and it seems that is because they are more immune evasive. If someone had immunity and are getting sick again with COVID it's safe to assume that they contracted one of the immune evasive variants. There are other variants in play as well.
