I was only able to listen to 19:30 of the interview. From what I understand, the virus variants are occuring at an unprecedented rate and reorganizing amino acid sequences at the NTD of the Spike protein (which is conserved among ALL variants)… that will set the stage for “steric immune evasion” and O Glycosylation changes that will allow ALL variants the ability to evade the immune system in the distal organs => severe disease.
