What I would do if I were a world-class specialist in a narrow but wide-reaching area of medicine. I have noticed a continued trend of publishing misleading, false or non-scientific publications by #1 med publisher in the world. Their publications are obviously counter-scientific in the light of what we now consider to be the mainstream medicine. They do not bring anything new to the understanding of health processes, right on the contrary, they meddle waters and provide a pseudo-scientific education base for less knowledgeable colleagues.

Would I be silent? No. Being of enough renown, I would have established a new medical journal specifically addressing such false publications, offering a discussion forum for those who really have the good of the patients at heart. I know I am not alone, so probably several hundred fellow medical professionals would soon head the most important truly new medical journal in the world. All our publications would be free, and the peer-review process would be open, with the statement of the names of reviewers and public presentation of their review logic. Finally, the authors would be graded according to the usefulness of their research and observance of true scientific principles.

To counterbalance this modern falsification of medical publications, we would also make re-reviews of old papers, the ones which we all know were published in the form which should have never appeared. We would make monographic editions dedicated to special cases, offering ample room for true scientific discussion. Our Issue #1 in this series would be a modest 300-pages focus on the Wakefield story, which (still) is unquestionably the loudest case of twisting the science against the patients ever.
